Uruguay’s star striker Edinson Cavani was in training as they finalised preparations on Thursday prior to their quarter-final clash against France.
Uruguay booked their place in the last eight after seeing off Portugal 2-1 with Edinson Cavani the star of the contest, grabbing both goals.
But Cavani limped off from the match after getting a knock on his calf. There is much speculation as to whether he will feature against the French.
The 31-year-old however, did not train with the rest of the team and was doing a lot of jogging and separate drills with the ball.
Uruguay have only conceded one goal in four matches in the tournament and will fancy their chances against France, who knocked out Argentina in a 4-3 thriller to book their place in the quarter-final.
The match will take place at the Nizhny Novgorod stadium on 6th July, with kickoff at 5pm (GMT +3) local time.
The winner will go on to face either Brazil or Belgium in the semi-final.
