Former Manchester United, Everton and England captain Wayne Rooney worked out with his new team on Tuesday, training with D.C. United of the MLS.

The 32-year-old Rooney, a five-time Premier League champion, is hoping to help one of the American league’s charter franchise’s return to greatness.

Wayne Rooney wished England players luck on Tuesday (10th July) ahead of England’s World Cup semi-final against Croatia.

“Obviously me as a former England player and captain, it’s a big moment for the country and my children, my eldest one, big England fan so it’s a great time for English football, to be English, English fans. I’ve seen the videos back home and the atmosphere looks great so, no, I’m sure if we get through tomorrow it’ll be wild then the next four or five days.”

“No, again, I said it yesterday, I’d like to wish the England players and manager good luck in the game tomorrow. Special, special day for England and hopefully we can win” he said.
